@오시아스님 아, 그렇군요! 또 맨날 헷갈리는게 지양과 지향. 완전 반대의 뜻인데 단어가 너무 비슷합니다.
거의 진짜와 근접한 가상이란 의미라서 그렇습니다. 뜻이 반대되는 게 아니구요. "사실상 ~에 가깝다" 할 때나 쓰는 사실상입니다. 진짜 확실한 사실의 경우란 의미가 아닙니다. 예를 들어서 "사실상 불가능에 가깝다"는 영어로 It is virtually impossible. 이라고 할 수 있습니다. 이건 완전히 불가능한 것은 아니지만 거의 불가능하기 때문에 사실상 불가능이라고 해도 된다는 의미입니다. 실질적이란 의미도 그런 의미입니다. 실재, 실질 이런 의미가 아니고 ~적이 붙어서 실질에 가깝다는 의미죠. 그는 부모는 아니지만 실질적으로는 부모나 다름 없었다. 이런 식에서나 쓰는 실질적입니다.
